-I think I'm officially hitting menopause.  Night sweats, hot flashes, perpetual tiredness, a few gray hairs, weight gain while merely looking at food, and all.  How fun.  NOT!  Mother nature, you've tortured me for years every month.  With migraines and cramps and bloating and mood swings, and let's not forget those fun-filled 40 days or so after childbirth.  Can you not cut me a break now?  Which leads me to..

Man, I'm getting old. Time to get back to the gym, and stop stress-eating I think.  That might help.

- I'm in fangirl limbo.  Merlin is filming, and Smallville is on hiatus.  Got any new shows I can get into?  Any good couples to ship? :D  Morgan/Garcia is looking like it might be kind of interesting to me, hmmm.

- I miss my Chlollie and Arwen.

- I miss writing, but I can't seem to wrap my brain around an idea or finish a fic I should have finished a long time ago.  I actually did try to start writing today, but lost patience.  I'll try again later.

-I think I'm addicted to Kingdoms of Camelot on Facebook.

-How awesome is it that the Chloe/Oliver marriage is DC Comics Approved?  Yes, I'm still thrilled that my OTP got married!  :) How can we get the real Chloe written into Green Arrow Comics?  :D

-My dogs have been chewing on the bottom rungs of the kitchen chairs.  One day we're going to sit down to dinner and fall on our asses. They are now gnawing on huge rawhide bones.  Good puppies.

Maybe we could sign a petition.. or send them some spoons XD
BTW, do you have a link to the article/interview where DC comics said they approuved Chlollie's wedding?

Here you go, this was posted in the Chlollie comm, but there's also a link to the entire article there. Kelly S. says they work closely with DC comics. :)

"Got any new shows I can get into? Any good couples to ship? :D"

I just mainlined three years of Castle in two weeks. I feel like I've od'd.

It was a good hit BTW and many things suffered due to temporary obsession. Castle & Beckett are an engaging non-couple couple.

Castle (Nathan Fillion) is a hoot.

The stories actually are surprising about 45-50 out 56 episodes I can say I didn't have the guilty party pinged by the end of the first act. Usually I can. The two-parter episodes are really good too.

So, not Sci-Fi but much better than most procedurals IMO.

Thank you for the recs! I've heard some things about Castle, and I'll check it out!

Ha, I hear you on the getting older shit. A foot injury closely followed by a really persistent case of viral bronchitis has knocked me out of my exercise routine for months, and I desperately need to get back on target--it's almost sweater-shedding season and I don't like what's under them right now. Also, I'm reevaluating the whole "letting myself go gray" thing. My BFF, who is 7 years younger than me, is taking the plunge and letting her hair go completely gray. I kind of want to (I think silver hair with a relatively young face looks really cool) but I'm not brave enough yet. At least it blends in with my blonde so I don't have to touch up my roots as often.

My fave new ship is Ben/Leslie on Parks & Recreation. They are hilarious and completely adorkable, and there is some GREAT fic being written for them. Interestingly, most of my current ships are for comedies rather than dramas (30 Rock, Community, HIMYM).

DC-approved!!! Because it can't be said often enough: hahaha, suck it, haters. :)

Also, Booth/Brennan of Bones.

I just turned 49 last month. Bwah. I don't look my age, thank goodness for my mother's genes, where she and all of my aunts look incredibly younger than they are. My mom is nearing 70, doesn't color her hair and it's still very dark, with only some gray. I may just let the gray strands stay. Not sure yet. My daughter will probably convince to to do something funky with it.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll definitely check them out. I know once SV is over, I'll be needing another diversion, lol.

DC-approved! I'm still so happy about the marriage, and I'm going through Chlollie withdrawals.

Ooh, I thought of another one: Will/Alicia on The Good Wife. If you're not already watching, you should. Some of the smartest writing on TV right now, and definitely some of the strongest women in the cast of any show right now. And I've had a crush on Josh Charles since Sports Night. :) (Dammit, how do I not have any Will/Alicia icons uploaded?)

IDK if you like criminal investigation shows, but if you do, maybe you could try NCIS LA... Deeks/Kensi= adorkable.

I'm totally going into Arwen withdrawls...not even joking. You got me hooked on Merlin Gen! I've been addicted ever since. Arwen is just so amazing, I can't even say how much I love them. I absolutely love Merlin and I'm already dying for it to come back on.

...and I'm missing Chlollie. I feel ya on not being able to write...I just have not felt motivated...and I have stuff I want to finish but don't seem to have the patience. Its frustrating.

I have plenty of shows I could recommend. Have you watched Robin Hood? Its another BBC show and is acutally now finished...I think... there are three seasons and you can get them all on instant streaming on Netflix. AWESOME show :) Its funny and there's action and romance...its just a fun show to watch...just like Merlin. I definitely ship Marion and Robin. Excellent show to watch! You should definitely check it out :)

Glee! ;) don't know if you are a Glee fan...but Puck/Rachel aka Puckleberry rocks! :D and the rest of the show of course, I haven't laughed so hard in a while until I started watching Glee.

Nikita is a show I don't hear many people talking about but I think its excellent. Another CW show...Nikita/Michael is a great ship :) They have all this tension beneath the surface and feelings for each other but areon opposite sides working against each other. And in the upcoming episodes another guy will be thrown in the mix to make an awesome triangle...well I think it will be awesome, we shall see.

Hope this helps and maybe gives you some new inspiration :)

Bwahahaha! I didn't know I got you hooked on Merlin! Woohoo! They are filming, now so that's good at least. :D

I've been hearing some buzz about Nikita, but part of me doesn't want to watch it, because I LOVED the version with Peta Wilson, and I'm dorky enough not to want to taint that.. haha. But maybe I'll check it out.

I've watched a few episodes of Glee.

Thank you for your recommendations!

Yep, thanks to your recommendations...I am completely hooked/obsessed with Merlin. I can't even say how freaking amazing the show is. I think Arthur/Gwen is my favorite ship besides Chlollie!

I can sympathize with the menopause issues. I'll be 45 in August, and I haven't had a period in 253 days (not that I'm complaining!) If I hadn't started coloring my hair two years ago, I'd be at least 50% gray right now. I wanted to let my hair go natural, but the pitiful looks I received from people, especially other women, made me run back to the bottle again. :( This last time I chose a color that was nearly the same as my natural dark chocolate/almost black, and now that the gray is starting to show again, I'm tempted to allow the gray to gradually come through.

I had back surgery in 2006, and since then have gained and lost and gained weight. Now I'm having trouble getting rid of it because of the menopause thing. UGH!

Merlin was AWESOME. Gwain is my official MerlinCrush, with Lancelot a close second! :) I can't wait for next season. In the meantime, The Vampire Diaries keeps me occupied. Also, my mom let me borrow her boxed set of The Tudors, so I'm watching that as well. I am SO looking forward to Henry Cavill as the big screen Superman. I wasn't convinced at first, but now that I've seen him in the period clothing, complete with cape draped over the shoulders, I am totally convinced that he and Amy Adams will be fantastic together.

I just finished an assignment for my writing class, one that I'd been struggling with for months, literally! I need to keep the momentum going once my instructor critiques and then returns my work to me.

I, too, am happy about the Chlollie marriage being DC approved! :) I've felt for a long time that Oliver was in serious need of a character upgrade. If Smallville deserves credit for anything, it deserves credit for accomplishing that.

I'm a baseball fan, so I'm looking forward to filling the hiatuses with many White Sox baseball games. :) GO SOX!!!

So glad you are enjoying Merlin. I can't wait till it airs again. I think Gwaine is my favorite knight. :) But I adore Arthur. A friend of mine also watched the Tudors, so that's one I may also check out. Thanks!

Night sweats and hot flashes suck. LOL

OH NO, I'M A CUBS FAN!! LOL
(That's okay, we get along fine!)

*Hugs* I'm sorry you're going through that. I remember when my mother went through menopause. =( Sending you lots of positive vibes!

What's Kingdoms of Camelot? I assume t's related to Arthurian legend, but otherwise ... lol.

LOL, it's a game where you build cities and armies and join alliances, and attack people.. haha. It's fun though!

Thanks for the positive vibes, I can use them! *hugs*
